I am doing two projects with Japanese Government right now. One is to
facilitate Public Sector - Private Sector cross sector identity usage,
and the other is a cross telco initiative. Both of them are OpenID
related. <br>
<br>
Unfortunately, I cannot travel in March because both project and
another one is closing in March, but I might be able to provide some
information if I can get the permission from the government. <br>

Brussels for the
e-ID interop. The conference is organized by eema.org and sponsored by
SWIFT
and BBS. <span lang="EN-US">There will be some interesting speakers,
as soon as I
have the program confirmed I will share it on the list.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

conference
typically attracts 150 attendees from business, public sector and
government from countries throughout Europe and also further a field.
In
2009 participating organisations came from 17 countries, including 30%
from
Government/public sector, 20% from user organisations included
Motorola, Total,
KPMG, Siemens, Visa International, European Commission, Euroclear Bank
and the
UK HM Revenue and Customs.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">On the second day of the
conference I will
facilitate a roundtable session to talk about the opportunities of
OpenID, Open
Identity in general within the European e-ID Landscape. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">I think it is a good
opportunity to discuss
the way how OpenID is able to contribute to the current e-id situation
in
different member states. Looking at the weaknesses of current e-ID
schemes (no
use in business environments because limitations of personal public
service
numbers, poor application support, security levels in no proportion to
business
transactions, no daily use, attribute sharing, no multi channel support
(Mobile, CyberCafé etc..) it is worthwhile to have an open discussion
how OpenID
could( or not) bridge this.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">If you have an interest in

discussed/ experimented with opportunities like this before or able to
