<div><br></div>This is obviously required, if Google wants webfinger to work with OpenID, without OpenID supporting webfinger. (I presume OpenID support for webfinger is atleast 6 months away).<div><br></div><div>Until then this is how it will work.</div>
<div>1) Type in your email address. (Maybe a gmail, or other email address which has a Google account).</div><div>2) Follow the webfinger protocol and get the XRD. Obviously this XRD will contain an Alias element which will happen to be your Google profile OpenID.</div>
