<div>This isn't a dig at email identifiers. But I don't see why email identifiers are critical to allow Google Wave authentication to use OpenID. And if your answer is "Google Wave servers want an email address" I will personally not accept that as an answer because I don't believe it.</div>

quarter of the year. If we can have 2.1 before that we will be in a position<br>
to offer OpenID as an alternative. Otherwise I am sure XMPP authentication<br>
will grow into a Federated authentication.<br>
