Just for the heck of it, I did a gmail search for "in:spam openid" and it returned about 30 unread messages (that's just in the last 30 days). Most were from Luke Shepherd, but there was one from Eric Sachs on May 12th, and one from Dirk Balfanz on Jun 2.

I discovered that my openid filters in gmail did not have the "never send to spam" checked, so I changed that in gmail, but this still seems pretty odd.

fyi....I suggest all gmail users double-check their spam box for openid messages.
At least Google's spam filters don't give any preferential treatment to Google employees. ;)

Chris

On Thu, Jun 4, 2009 at 3:48 PM, Breno de Medeiros <breno@google.com> wrote:

Yes. He can also send it through other mailing lists, just not the one hosted by openid.net.

>> And I assume other senders to the lists don't have this problem?

Unfortunately it does sometimes impact other senders, but it is intermittent and hard to notice. I noticed it happening to me in Jan, it happened to Breno in March and has happened to Luke in April/May. It may well have happened to others as well, but like I mentioned its hard to track. However a message Luke sent today did not get marked as SPAM, so it is inconsistent.

OpenID.net mailman are different than others who mail through the same
lists. I also don't see anything specific in the headers from Luke's
messages which seem to infer any sort of spam ranking.

So unfortunately, I really don't have any useful suggestions.

Eric, I assume Luke can email you directly without a problem? And I
assume other senders to the lists don't have this problem?
