Hammer-Lahav</title></head><body>
<div>>><tt>What is being hidden? Explain the value of knowing
some "real" name,<br>
></tt></div>
<div><tt>></tt>Perhaps the same value it has for you for not
disclosing who you are.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Exactly. The value it has to me (protecting my clients, thus
preserving my reputation business-wise) is the same to an attacker who
has malicious intentions upon one of my clients in pursuit of their
goals, or a competitor who may desire to steal my clients (thus
improving their own business by the value of mine) by sabotaging my
ability to continue providing services to my clients.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>>Publicly going with your name has perhaps something to do
with upfront honesty.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Which is why I have remained with "SitG Admin" on the
To line, and used Shade as my signature.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div><tt>></tt>Anybody has the right to remain anonymous (right, up
to a certain limit usually). But with it comes a price - apparently a
price you aren't willing to pay either.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>What price is that? "You can be anonymous, but we don't want
you to exist in our world - not to have to deal with you, or your
ideas."?</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>>Common, be a man and stop whining!</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Now who's stooping to personal attacks? Forget diversity: who
would WANT to be (out as) a woman on the Board, when even in the
*community* people are told to be men?</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>>Respect the rules the foundation and the law set up and pay
the price you have to pay for your conscious decision (which nobody
forced upon you)</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>The conscious decision was not forced upon me, no. But when you
say things like "pay the price you have to pay", it seems
like you WOULD, perhaps, act to force upon us consequences that are
not necessarily mandated by our choices. If they were, you would not
have to demand that we do anything - you could just ignore us, secure
that we would ultimately face punishment.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>>without inciting with heroic anti-endorsements and slandering
of a real name from the side-lines.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Careful with your words! Slander has a real legal meaning - and,
setting aside the distinction of whether it should be libel (printed
word), one condition is that the words must be *false*: can you point
out any sentence (or fragment thereof, allowing that I do construct
rather long sentences) where I have MISrepresented Eran's
position?</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>I was very conservative in describing the position he took,
because I do care about quoting people accurately, so I am confident
that you will not be able to find this, if you look - I *encourage*
you to look, therefore, so you can satisfy yourself that no slander
has occurred.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>>You only allow yourself to slander other names because you
remained anonymous</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>There's nothing stopping me from expressing criticism of
someone's position. Indeed, one would think that accountability (to
say nothing of basic RESPONSIBILITY) would DEMAND it! If we (fore)see
a problem, let us speak out, not forever keep silent lest we admit
that anything may be less than perfect! (Transparency.)</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>>what a hero!</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Any fame I've accrued is probably due to people making a big fuss
over what is just due process, in a community such as we claim/aspire
to be. If you see me banned for it, then you may as well add
"martyr" to the list as well, and again this wouldn't be a
consequence I either sought or, through my choices, inherently
approved of - it would be a punishment levied by others.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>>If you would have balls you'd do that as a person, not as an
alias!</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>I've never been particularly impressed by balls, nor by any
person for having them, and to the extent that having any has ever
entered into my considerations for the future, I think that it would
have been as something to be avoided ;p</div>
