Interestingly, I'd like to point out (and Derek can attest to this)
that better and more accessible designs often improve the usability
for typical users without special needs.

Unfortunately, has been pointed out off and on since the late 90s when focusing on work with the Web Standards Project and W3C Web Accessibility initiative. Progress was made with the move to XHTML + CSS instead of HTML tabular-based layouts. Unfortunately much seems to have been negated or ignored with the advent of AJAX and accessibility for those with disabilities aside, I'm seeing similar problems with the limited User Agent in my Blackberry.

Of course, many key Web sites are instead making custom applications for these additional means of accessing the Web rather than harnassing the power of and encouraging the improvement of existing user agents - because while we joked about using a browser on our refridgerator and watches then, doesn't mean we're still not moving that direction now.

Perhaps by building key accessibility features into OpenID will help drive these improvements further - thanks.
--
B.K. DeLong (K3GRN)
bkdelong@pobox.com
+1.617.797.8471
