I believe the second option (ATT93785.jpg) is the best. Here's why: The first option is good, but looks too much like the universal(?) sign for "information" found at kiosks the world over. People may be confused if this logo is located in a login box. The third option is just as, or perhaps more indistinguishable than the current logo at a small size. The second option is clear, unique and expertly blends the letters "i" and "d." While I don't feel the current logo is bad,
ATT93785.jpg is a more cohesive image that should be used for future open id needs. I could go on with reasons why the second option is best but my current reasons seem sufficiently clear.

As an aside, I thought it was ironic these mailing lists don't use the openid enabled mailman (
http://www.openidenabled.com/software/mailman/). I'm new to the lists but have followed openid for a while. It seems that the lists should employ openid.

In my personal opinion, the fatal flaw with the current logo, no matter how
it might be reskinned, is that it is so hard to distinguish at 16x16, which
is where we need it to be most recognizable.

I wish that were not true as it would save us time and energy, but I don't
see any way around it. IMHO the new logo should be designed with this as the
#1 criteria -- that was the origin of options A and C.

=Drummond

-----Original Message-----
From:

This is a very interesting idea and one that maybe we should look at closer.
Are folks feeling more that we just don't need a re-design or is it that the
options just aren't knocking anybody's socks off?
