[OpenID] Realty adoption

Every audience needs unique handling, and the right speaker. Its whatever works, when social engineering.
I remember helping a certain agency choose the right personality for this (oiw) groups first "Government handler" - chosen for his avuncular manner mixed with a little secrecy thrown in ...to suit the geeky (and back the user centric) audience struggling with national security letter reality... etc.
Its a double win for Microsoft. Your realty group also endorsed odata v4, based in part on the decision to open source formally proprietary library code. So its all a win for open source culture, too.
If you look back 15 years, one may even know the major (little known) Microsoft input on the first, metadata driven web standard for authenticated data services over https, that is only just now being discarded in favor of modern odata plus openid connect.
Standards take time, but are a great career path...

Wait, you've been trying this for 5 years!? I just swooped in and talked
about Chuck E Cheese tokens and video games, and won the hearts of the
audience in 20 minutes! Or maybe it was just my overwhelming handsomeness
that did the trick. ;-)
Anyway, kudos to everyone, this is a big win for standards in general. In
particular, standards that are interoperable and easy to use. I can't say
enough how much I've enjoyed working with OIDC when compared to SAML.
