Ah. Obviously an NSA Implant, to fit the repurposing of “user centric” identity management.
Fun to think back of the first interplay of openid and US government, in the first Obama year. Was touted, if I recall, as a user-centric play that would “liberate the citizens so they could participate in their government”. Within 5 years, the indoctrination process had completed of course, with such as openid flows becoming just another acquisition targeting method, given suitable protocol design that facilitated tracking and tracing, centralized vendor control, and dutiful cloud vendors.
Its quite interesting (To me) to contrast openid’s trajectory with what happened in the 2nd year of the CAs (when the same happened to that industry, too). I was on the ‘inside"’ to see that transition, then.
