[OpenID] trying to use an account with flickr to set up an openid one ...

No, no, you don't have to go to openid.net. As you've said, you
already have your OpenID from Flickr/Yahoo.
To use it, you go to the Blogspot blog which you want to comment in,
select "OpenID" in Choose your profile and just in the same field
where you had tried entering "techmonk2005", you enter just
"flickr.com" instead (forget about what I said before).
You'll see a Yahoo login page then when trying to post the comment.
