[OpenID] "Nightmare" article on OpenID

The article was a joke - and almost completely unrelated to OpenID. Still, we have national press like that in the UK too.
I commented on it with some of the suggestions you make- not to mentioned having a backup auth mechanism (amateur stuff for any real app).
Onwards tho!

I'm not a developer but there seem to be so many things wrong in the article. It even starts by describing the authentication process. But the main problem seems to be that the guy didn't set up any matching of OpenIDs to existing usernames or emails. He didn't use Simple Registration or AX, he didn't ask users if they already had an account,... Nothing!
Unfortunately, the article has a LOT of comments already, 100+ Delicious saves and what not.
