[OpenID] Access Facebook Connect through OpenID?

I'm looking into implementing either Facebook Connect or OpenID on my site.
Facebook's social aspects, like sharing activity on my site back to their
Facebook is very compelling, but I would prefer OpenID's openness and larger
userbase.

So, if I implement OpenID would I be able to also use the social aspects of
Facebook Connect (assuming that the user has a Facebook account)?

I actually tried to Google this but couldn't find anybody addressing this
matter specifically, perhaps because it is not possible.
