[OpenID] 2.0 - required DH fields?

OpenID 2.0 Authentication - Association

The fields openid.dh_modulus/dh_gen/dh_consumer_public are marked as 
'common to request'. Does this mean they or some are optional? I just 
got a request just containing a dh_consumer_public entry and checked it 
with the specs but the specs do not explicitly mark the fields as either 
optional or required...I guess the dh_consumer_public is required and 
for the others the default values are used
