[OpenID] Naive doubt

Hi

I have recently started playing around with openID implementations and have
a doubt.
Maybe I have not understood the idea very well. Please someone help me here.

If I enable OpenID server on my site using which after authentication I
give openID identifiers to my users like
http://mysite/users/username
Now using these openID identifiers, users can log into many other accounts
(yahoo, wordpress and other openID relying sites)

How do these relying parties manage a correspondence between my openID
identifier and my yahoo-id.
For instance my openid is: http://mysite/users/xyz
and my yahoo account is xyz at yahoo.com
How does yahoo know that http://mysite/users/xyz is the same user as
yahoo.com

And if it doesn't how do I access my xyz at yahoo.com account using the OpenID
?

To sum.. after I create my openID, it'll mean I'll have a new account on all
openID relying sites that will be verified by my OpenID provider?

If my questions are very silly, please let me know.
I shall try to understand the concept again and find answers on my own

Thanks
Malveeka
