The url's you pointed out and others like those are testimony to the lack of
foresight in the original openid 1.0 specification. Open id 2.0 was the
bandage and glue applied to 1.0. And directed identity is really the only
way to go.
What I find shocking is the obvious attempt by some people to brush our
concerns under the carpet, by tactics like glossing over the issue, putting
words into my mouth, diverting the real issue into some other direction.
However I must admit there were also a couple of responses that tried to
explain there point of view, which i did appreciate.
