[OpenID] Logging a user out from his provider

Hi all,
I am currently working with an openid provider which returns openid.mode = cancel if another consumer is already logged. For example
1. I log in with my openid Joe.
2. I leave my computer on and my friend comes and log in with Jill
3. The provider will return mode=cancel
(I have notified the provider of this; they say they will look into it)
I am wondering if I could log out any consumer for the provider so that I wouldn't run into this problem. How should I go about doing this?
Take me to a place that cannot be, of mountains tall and valleys deep.
