Thanks. got a dev-grade liveid, and registered for the openid "alias" service. This part seemed to work fine.

Get endpoint errors; similar to what also occurs at plaxo.

        Provide an OpenID first.
Invalid OpenID URL.
Login failed: No OpenId endpoint found.

Obviously, no point trying delegation flows, yet!

Have you seen this post?

It talks all about it, and includes links to start your Live ID OpenID experience.

Been experimenting all morning with Microsoft identity platform - in the SDK for identity services (delegated auth for mesh data sources, classical IDP-RP token passing, cloud-hosted IDPs and RPs, WSFed-SAML2 gateways, hosted role mapping, DRM-wrapping of syndicated content, etc). All wonderful stuff, if you are in our business.

one link from the "Geneva Identity Toolkit SDK" takes one to the liveID openid service.

(a) I could not get it to authenticate my home_pw at msn.com<mailto:home_pw at msn.com><mailto:home_pw at msn.com<mailto:home_pw at msn.com>> liveid
(b) lots of links broke

has anyone got a good example/URL where I can play with microsoft's openid service?

do I need to be in some special beta group, perhaps?
