+1. Fewer specs and fewer working groups are better.
Web Finger has been developed outside of the WG IPR system though, so that's
one thing that I would be concerned about.
That said, the challenge then is:
1. getting momentum around the OpenID 2.1 WG (
http://wiki.openid.net/OpenID_Authenticatioan_2_1)
2. figuring out how to fold Web Finger into the discovery portion of OpenID
2.1 in a one that results in satisfying the IPR requirements.
