You have identified the truth tho: despite all the achievements it has
not made the leap from identerati to populist wave.

And that worries me. We are dealing with professional envagelists who
can engineer that wave, and are choosing not to.

  I suspect it's because of uci. What some folks want of openid is
that it's a simplified saml, which has no uci "built in" to its type
system design. There is an attempt to define uci as "controlled
release" rather than "op portability".
