Yeah - it seems like a lot of upheaval.

I would invite those of you seeing this and frustrated about it to join the
all of the communities you listed above (OpenID Board,
LibertyAlliance-Kantara, XRI, Open Web) get together - the Internet Identity
Workshop - http://www.internetidentityworkshop.com

November 3-5 in Mountain View.

Session Notes from the last conference - http://iiw.idcommons.net/Notes_iiw8

and the one before
http://iiw.idcommons.net/Iiw2008b

The google guys who launched OpenID for google apps and extenstions that are
causing a kerfuffle have been attending for several years and are very
active participants there.

Mailing lists are great & the role that face to face opportunities to meet,
white board, argue, find solutions, move the balls forward.

We don't pre-set an agenda - so any thing you want to bring up you are
welcome to put forward the day of the event. It is very affordable right
now registration is open and it is $150 for three days including 3 meals a
day. And if you can't afford that you can speak with us and we will see what
we can do.
