So an email to Johannes later, and it turns out the code I wrote for
YADIS conformance testing is at:

The intent for this was, I believe, to be a start on an OpenID
conformance test that would also tell you along the way why it failed.
We don't have paperwork saying that this is fair game, but I'm willing
to code until I get the C&D, and I actually think those who paid for
this have either forgotten about it or would love to see it used to
further OpenID.

I didn't get to adding the next stage, querying the actual OpenID
login, and this may be too much to offer up your "average user", but
I'd sure support a revamp of OpenID.net to be more concrete so that
someone asking "does my OpenID work?" or "what will OpenID do for me?"
finds an answer quickly there, and I think having this and a descendant
of this somewhere near the top of "Developers" and maybe even "Users"
pages would be a good thing.
