Agree. But this was a factual statement. Those 2 protocols were
developed, on purpose, independently of one another.
Since a lot of users and developers are using both now, it would
behoove us to find a smoother solution that can integrate the two
protocols seamlessly. This would give users a better user experience
and make life easier on the developers as they can leverage existing
code to support similar need. No reason to homebrew something new.
