[OpenID] OIDF Membership

What you do is ensure folks understand the limits of the OP-centric _control_ model. They need to grasp the benefits of the RP-centric control model (in which OPs are just convenience stores, vs. control authorities).

What we need is pursuit of the common practice led by Plaxo: you can bind n openids to your RP account (of which one is implied: Plaxo’s own “openid”, issued to you for “local login”).

Subject: Re: [OpenID] OIDF Membership

Speaking of OIDF memberships, I've recently found myself in an interesting situation with my own personal membership.

My initial registration with the OIDF was associated with my Clickpass OID. About 1 month ago I decided to replace this with my Google ID and I did. Well because I didn't checked the "Allow this site to remember me" option during the association and the OIDF does not allow for more than a single OID association, my OID was replaced with a temporary Google identifier; one that I can never use again. Subseqently I'm now locked out of my account with no visible recovery options.

So while I'm semi-embarassed to even be bringing this up, what do I do next?

Hi!

I need to get in touch with someone of the OIDF who is managing OIDF
memberships. I don't want to discuss the matter publicly, though, so
please get in touch by email at carsten.poetter at Google's funny mail
dot com. Thanks!
