Yahoo fully supports letting users chose personalized OpenIDs. Users can 
use their Flickr Photos URL as an OpenID, or chose a personalized alias 
of the form https://me.yahoo.com/<your personalized alias>

While this feature probably appeals to many of the readers of this 
mailing list, Yahoo's usability studies show that most mainstream Yahoo 
users are really confused by the concept of choosing an OpenID when 
signing into an RP. Most users think that they're just signing into the 
the RP with their Yahoo account, similar to how they sign into the Yahoo 
network with their Yahoo ID.

Based on our usability research, we have de-emphasized the flow for 
setting up a customized Yahoo OpenID. If you'd like to setup an 
customized OpenID, just go to http://openid.yahoo.com and click the big 
yellow button to set one up.
