[OpenID] Facebook Cooperation with German Email Providers?

Interesting!
Facebook is already an OpenID relying party — but they've hidden away the
functionality because of the UX issues.
I'm guessing that Facebook is using OpenID as the background protocol for
single sign-on, similar to what Plaxo did with Google.
It's using OpenID in a perfectly legitimate way — just not how most of us
expect it to be used (i.e. with a user-facing interface).
...though, I'm not really sure what "Open IP" is:
"In the short and mid terms we have no plans for further Open IP
partnerships in Europe", said Olivan.
