[OpenID] Trim replies, please (was: OpenID + Government)

It's somewhat daunting to look at an inbox full of 20k+ messages 
(from one list), some over 50k; looking back through the last hundred 
or so posts (prior to the 12th), most of them are under 10k (single 
digits in the size column), so it's not my imagination that this is 
only a recent situation. It's also somewhat confusing to prepare 
myself for a lot of reading and find that most replies are only a few 
paragraphs in length - the size is (usually) a good way for me to 
gauge, before actually looking at the content of the message, the 
amount of reading required. If you don't need to make sure the entire 
thread to date is shown in your reply, please consider taking a 
moment to remove that excess data.
