[OpenID] NEC and OpenID in Japan

Someone evidently has some sense, bundling SAML and OpenID!
Two commentator notes:-
1. Major id mgt vendor (NEC) is claiming to be providing a higher assurance implementation of OpenID(2), fixing implementation "errors" in open source stuff.
Presumably, the perceived fixes for the perceived errors are being given back to open source (per the usual rules). Even if no one is using the open source code, if you know of a fix/error, you are morally obligated to provide general info on it (even if you just "learned from," rather than licensed, the open code).
2. Major vendor is implying that the design assurances of OpenID2 (that some project FUD about) are sufficent for business applications such as e-commerce (which usually is defined to include VISA card acceptance, by merchants accredited by a VISA acquirer).
(It's not clear from the PR if the application of OpenID2 for e-commerce does or does not require use of the SAML components of the product.I would not really expect a PR to make such disclosure, to be fair.)
Major news OpenId Foundation! Well Done! Let's measure how fast Burton reacts.

I forgot to say one thing:
