Fair Enough Martin. I do agree with you.... I just remember when I lived in
Chile and was learning Spanish that every time I navigated a site I'd get
back to Spanish from browsing in English. I would have taken any solution at
that point!
I guess my example may be this ....
... from the .co.uk in your domain I guess you are from the UK and
"degeneration" implies an English word to me and hence I would guess you
speak English.
I guess it depends what significance people place on the semantics of the
OpenID.
Perhaps it could be an option to share at the OP.

Since I'm no expert on the privacy needs of people around the world, I
tend to just assume that anything you share will impact someone, so if
you can avoid sharing something then you should.
With language specifically, if you know someone's primary language you
can often make a good guess about their nationality or current country
of residence, which could cause various problems for some people in
certain contexts.
