[OpenID] Google OpenID IDP is now live

Either 12 or 18months ago, we had google folks in our conference suite to discuss how we could give them what they wanted (authoritative realtime feed of realty MLS data, with copyrights and licenses etc) and what we wanted in return - google to do sso as IDP (using SAML, openid or anything other means one cares for) to any web RP (including MLS webservers - SPs just like us that track about 6 Million web2.0 consumers/conversations a year.)

No way, ever, was the response. Cannot ever imagine Google releasing the "consumer" data to those folk.

What a change! Thanks Yahoo! For changing the market dynamics.

Be interesting to read the legal rules that IDPs now start to impose, concerning reuse of attributes by SPs. We will see if OpenID turns out to be a sham about UCI...

Great work Eric, Joseph and I'm sure many others ... this is a big
week for OpenID.
