OpenID provides no facility to replace SSH for git pushing, AFAIK. But
OAuth would be a terrific system to replace PKI here.
The scenario would be:
1. User logs into gitorious.org for the first time using their OpenID.
2. User creates project X
3. User uses git client to clone project X on local disk.
4. First time user attempts to push commits to gitorious, the specialized
git client uses OAuth to popup a web browser where gitorious challenges the
user to login with their OpenID. Once that's done, the git client has a
token and token secret used to push commits from then on.
That would be sweet.
