Can you or anyone else cite some usability studies
that indicate it would indeed be irritating?
I don't think tasks are considered irritants if
their purpose and consequences are understood and
don't require too much effort, either physical or
cognitive. But that's just what I think; it would
be good to have usability studies that either
support or refute that hypothesis.
