Even without generation fragments, RP's can display information like 
"We have known this OpenID to be a user here from [this date] to 
[that date]." - it's an issue of privacy, though (and yes, I do know 
that many forums display "Joined on" dates in user profiles), to give 
third parties (including other users on that system) information on 
when you first gained access privileges there.
