[OpenID] OpenID Test Environment?

Looks like a start too. Ideally I could test this independently - say in my
closed local development environment first.
e.g. I tried to log into openiddirectory.com , but get:
"OpenID authentication failed: Server denied check_authentication
We have known problems with OpenIDs from AOL, Verisign and LinkSafe. Please
be patient and report any other bugs."
I can't really do anything more - this is the only information I have.
Ideally I could know what server and library they are using and either run
my test in a set up hosted environment or download a pre-configured VM to
try locally. Maybe I'll look into this for the dot net openid project.
The test framework is an excellent idea, but is more for conformance than
debugging (which is course are close cousins!).

There's an OpenID test group over here:

But not much activity has been going on.

Hi - does anyone know of work going on to create an OpenID test environment?
I only as I am using the dotnetopenid library which works great with many
RP's but not as well against others. Basically, due to the large number of
variations debugging is a nightmare!
I also noticed messages on some sites indicating there were known issues
with some other libraries and so on.
Would be nice to have a test environment, the way I think WS-I had (probably
still have - I remember various vendors getting to into a room and getting
stuff to interop) when I was looking at that.
