Peter,

I appreciate your curiosity and your eagerness to work together, and  
we'd be happy to help you with this interop experiment.  Similar  
identity gymnastics have been done successfully before.  I don't think  
the OpenID general list is the right forum to work on it, though.  In  
the interests of keeping discussions relevant to the forum, why don't  
you ask on the shibboleth-dev at internet2.edu mailing list?
