[OpenID] Quick question about the Yahoo buttons

Yeah, I think it would be foolish of us OpenIDers to adopt a holier than
thou attitude right now.  The fact is way more people know what Yahoo is
than what myopenid.com is.  For us to act like that's not true will just
hurt usage, and we have to believe usage will drive awareness and
adoption.

I do share your concerns that this might not be good in the long term. 
Users who rely on the Yahoo! button will not learn the way to log in to 
a site that does not provide the specialized button, and clearly it 
can't scale to more than maybe a dozen big OPs.

I'm not sure what the alternative is, though. The Yahoo! button serves 
the purpose that Yahoo! users who don't even know what OpenID is yet 
will know how to log in right away, and will be introduced to OpenID 
during the transaction.
