Ok. I'll try it tomorrow when I have some time, using a traditional myopenid. (Ill use myopenid OP, since it's the "interoperability" gold-standard).

Perhaps, it got fixed in the intervening months!

Although I do myself have a Google blog, I was just able to comment on
my Google blog without first being signed-in to Google, by using my
ProtectNetwork OpenID - see

for the proof.
