Dear All,
Good remark cks = I think the same thing about the "space" between the arrow
and the "I", it appears larger on the small version! = it's strange!
Congratulation Randy for this lifting! :)
I like the new "light orange" and "the space" between the arrow and the "I"
= Yes more visible + more modern.
But IMHO = I'm no sure that 3 colors ; orange + grey + black is a good idea!
Because is less "design" and because OpenID is now remembered throughout the
world as the color "orange" ... Black is not a strong color for a logotype
... If an update was made to a black logo = would give the impression that
the site lost its color!
= I think it would be better to write OPENID with the new orange or why not
"Open" in grey and "ID" in Orange" but please not in Black! = It would be a
mistake!
But beyond the design, a new logo implies responsibility ... We must explain
why there is a change (not just a pen),
The best reason would be that this logo is that of "OpenID 2.0"
+ You have to think that all the community = RP + PO + media + blog... must
also change
On the other hand it would be a good obligation to see those who are still
active in the community (and which will be updated!)
The Upload on OpenID.net would be also a good time to incorporate the latest
thinking in relation to the "TM Policy" (Legal Mailing List), Especially
compared to the importance to add "TM" is small addition next to the "D" of
OpenID
Good luck for the choice ! :)
Cheers

That's weird: the letterspacing doesn't appear to vary between the "large"
and "small" versions. To look balanced, the large "headline" version needs
to have proportionally less space between the letters than the small "body"
version. Right now it looks like body type blown up real big, which is why
the space between the I and the D looks off.
