Apart from the fact that the BBC insist on breaking apart "open" and 
"id" this is a great article that explains OpenID to a very wide audience.

Small note to board: It might be worth adding a press section to 
openid.net explaining pronunciation and formatting of the brand word(s) 
before journalists start randomizing the brand.
