Does the election software work with xri-form openids?

Can any xri resolver be used, or is it limited to using ibrokers (a highly controlled community, with legal oversight)?

If any ca can be used (because ca issues are generic), is the same true for the xri authorities?

Or do the operational settings limit me, the user, from using my own xri resolver (forcing me and my OP to into the legal oversight of the ibroker world)?

Im not sure why the self regulating realty infrastructure would want to submt to the oversight of the ibroker apparatus (and whoever controls its rule making). Feels  a bit like the pki form of the same issue vint cerf had to deal with for the IPKI: why would uk firms need to submit to mit root registry rules, merely to play wholly within the uk? Could you imagine two us firms doing the same, in reverse? Or two japanese firms, submitting to a korean oversight body? Of course not: just not going to happen (given the limits of social norms, this century).
