Sutra Zhou has contributed the OpenID Google Group to me, on behalf of the
Foundation, to use as a convenient backup and archive of the
general at openid.net mailing list.
http://groups.google.com/group/openid

The group is read only, but is especially useful for searching against
historical posts (note that nothing before today will be archived).
