I'm still concerned (and curious) about the blackboxdiebold feeling
that the "election platform" installs into me. I have not found clear
explanations about the working methods of the election scheme.
I have skimmed through the bylaws found on the website as well as in
the election procedure sent to the list and I've not found a clear
explanation of the election scheme other than this (from
OpenID_Foundation_Election_Procedures_21-Nov-08.pdf):
How do eligible voters vote?
The election will be conducted using the OpenIDs associated with the
members' memberships.
This sounds like "this be the election machine to which you come and
type your thing into, we then magically take the result out of the
machine" which to me reminds the ever-amusing US voting machines.
It doesn't require a revolution in the voting website but just some
documentation of the processes and added transparency.
