[OpenID] wiki and email

Out of interest, I used myopenid to access a newly created wiki userpage at http://wiki.openid.net/Special:Emailuser/Homepw.

MyOpenID's phonebased user auth worked perfectly, and the wiki nicely registers my profile, including the sreg email.I could leave material (tho its no longer obvious that an openid-identified user is authoring material, and authorship history links back to the mediawiki user identity page rather than my formal identity page at myopenid.)

I tried to email a wiki user (myself), using the menu option provided. The system whines that I need to be logged in (which I am? Surely...having just made a page edit ) and have a valid email address (which sreg delivered to my profile, evidently).

(a) disaapointed that the flagship backoffice demo does not better showcase openid for 1.material authorship 2 handle identity pages

(b) It was a little disappointing that I could not originate an email to a wiki user, on whose sreg emailaddress the mediawiki had relied. What I want from the wiki is the assurance that the emailaddress was introduced by an OP, as I really want to meta-rely on the wiki own reliance on the OP, earlier, for the binding of the email address to the openid/wiki-userpage.

actually, subscribing to board at openid.net would provide many answers
-- board-private at openid.net would not have any of the answers to
Eran's questions.

minutes from the meetings are here:

Yes, the ease with which one can find this information needs to be
improved.
