[OpenID] Has anyone actually used Immediate mode with AJAX?

I've not seen a single OpenID login box that uses immediate mode using AJAX
as the spec suggests is possible.  Technologically it seems infeasible since
utilizing this would require cross-site scripting.  Am I missing something,
or is this right?
