[Peter Williams] I am indeed not writing new code. I'm a buyer, when the
time is right. I try to choose those code implementers who are closely
tied to the spec writing team - it's always the best. Then, the code's
own use model will completely represent and handle the use cases of the
protocol - and will most clearly handle all the use case tradeoffs,
constraints, practical limits that the realworld designers knew about,
etc. Then, as an architect type I can know what is "viable". Such code
usually also has a full expression of the intended extension model -
which is important if I want to do profiling and system integration
without having to involve others.
