Hi David,
I just wanted to give you all some initial feedback on the website...
Wow! What an improvement - fantastic work! - OpenID just got exciting;)
Now for some minor notes:
I could not see any obvious place to find out where to get free software
that supports OpenID. People like me spend over 12 hours per day
developing free software around OpenID so I guess i'm bias, but it would
be cool to see free software projects elevated a bit;)
[Home page] I'm not 100% sure but I'm sure "internet" should always be
spelt with a capital I as "Internet".
[http://openid.net/get/] " Well known and simple providers" - I think it
highly dubious as to whether these providers even meet W3C web
standards including conformance level Double-A
<http://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG1AA-Conformance> of the W3C Web Content
Accessibility Guidelines, hence I would hardly label them as "simple". I
do not think it is the role of the OpenID foundation to define which
providers are simple and which simple and not hence I would go for
"Examples of OpenID service providers"
The search feels a little strange. I searched on "Identity" and returned
null even though I see the word in the list.
At the base of the page I would have put an "s" on "Developer
<http://openid.net/developers/>" to be "Developers" (in the base menu
header).
OSCON. Even though it was back in 2005 it is still highly relevant. The
(maybe) vidoop (??) video posted here a couple of weeks ago was great as
well. Either way I think a simple tutorial using an OpenID to connect to
a site and post a coment would be the icing on the cake so to speak.
[Site title] OpenID > how do I get an OpenID .... I think this may get
lost in the Google haze as tutorials get added to the web. Personally I
would have gone for something more like "OpenID.net; home of OpenID, the
specifications and the OpenID foundation".
[http://openid.net/foundation/] I can't see the foundations registration
number. We'll be wanting to see the articles of association / statutes
and validate you against your registration number before our Non for
profit gives you $100; and don't you want my email or OpenID when I sign
up or are we really going to be snail mail members?? ;)
Hope that helps,
tom
