Plone 3.0-beta2 (to be released today) will. The implemenation Plone
uses works for all Zope 2 applications as well.

Support for OpenID 2.0 was not a conscious decision; supporting it
is a side-effect of modifying the code to be compatible with the
upcoming 2.0 version of the OpenID python package. I suspect that is
going to be the main driver for getting people so support OpenID: the
availability of easy to use, well documented, standard libraries.

As someone who implemented OpenID support for Zope: I never read the
specs and I have no interest doing so. For me it is all about usable
standard libraries being available.
