[OpenID] identity url suggested formats?

The openId spec doesn't specify best practice on exact format of identity
urls. So it is impartial to:
http://id.mayfirst.org/username or
http://username.id.mayfirst.org <http://id.mayfirst.org/username> or
http://username.mayfirst.org <http://id.mayfirst.org/username>
Personally I wouldn't use the 2nd one because it seems confusing to me. I am
using the equivalent of http://mayfirst.org/id/username, because I don't
think normal users get subdomains.
The subdoman username id is used by a few providers now but is in no way a
convention you need to follow a few do the equivalent of
http://mayfirst.org/username (so if you can get away with that its a good
option).

ps: I am basing my knowledge on the 1.1 spec, I assume it's not been changed
for 2 but correct me if I am wrong.
