Further Clarification: LJ has OpenID, doesn't have Yadis

Sigh. Sorry I opened this particular can of worms. Just so everybody
is clear:

LiveJournal has OpenID. LiveJournal's OpenID works great.

I love LiveJournal's OpenID!

LiveJournal doesn't have Yadis. Period.

Yadis is just a discovery mechanism, so this isn't really a problem, I
can detect that the LJ URL supports OpenID while I'm looking for the
Yadis document and use OpenID as my authentication mechanism. In fact
it may be worthwhile to do my querying the other way around, try for
OpenID first, if that doesn't work then go looking for a Yadis
document, and if that doesn't work fall back to LID 1.0 ('cause I know
of at least two other people in the world who keep LID enabled
URLs...).

LiveJournal has the vestiges of something that looks like it was
intended to be Yadis in its early stages, but it ain't Yadis, we
shouldn't treat it as though it's Yadis, and I was wrong to read
anything into its existence.
