OpenID vs Sxip? are they the same thing now?

We (Sxip) are merging our work on SXIP and DIX into OpenID 2.0

SXIP 2.0 had taken a number of features from OpenID 1.1, and a number  
of the people in working on OpenID had been looking at the features  
in SXIP/DIX already, so this was fairly straight forward.

No, they have not always been the same.
