local -vs- SSO credential

I was asked the other day if there has been any published studies/white
papers on the pros and cons of having multiple logins at many sites or
one login that works at all of them.  This topic is and has been
discussed at length on many lists and various opinions are demonstrated.
Does anyone know of any published papers/writeups on this topic?

 

I am not looking to kick of a debate with this post simply want to point
him to one or more studies.  I trust we are all in the SSO camp :-)
